Hi John,

You’re right that the Healthcare system capacity isn’t fixed, specially in terms of crisis. However, the value that is used to model whether or not the system would be overwhelmed are based on the estimated peak capacity (counting military field hospitals, etc).

Naturally, modeling how the capacity would evolve from the standard capacity to the full peak capacity would bring the model closer to reality but it would also increase its complexity a great deal.
